This is just a short video demonstrating torso measurement for backpacks. Please do not skip it, or go to your outfitter and let them take the measurement. It is not the entire answer to comfort, but it is a start. There are lines developed for gender. There is no substitute for trying on the backpack. If at a specialty store, they will have sandbags to approximate weight. Take advantage of all resources, comfort is a real issue. If you want prove you are macho, carry 100 pounds in a well fitted backpack. Me, I like to travel as light as possible.
